Quick answer
Is an oil-filled radiator cheaper to run than a ceramic heater? Not per kWh — both are equally efficient. Which costs less depends on how long you need heat.
How oil-filled radiators work
An element heats oil sealed inside metal fins. The fins warm the air by convection. It takes 15–20 minutes to warm up but stays warm for a while after switching off, and it's silent.
How ceramic heaters work
A fan pushes air over a self-regulating ceramic element, giving warm air in seconds. Heat stops soon after switching off.
Running cost
Both convert electricity to heat equally efficiently. Oil radiators suit long sessions where their slow warm-up doesn't matter; ceramic heaters suit shorter sessions where getting warm fast means less time switched on.

Which should you buy?
- Choose an oil-filled radiator for silent all-day background heat in a large room
- Choose a ceramic heater for quick warmth, portability and small spaces
Where Keilini Heater Pro fits
Keilini Heater Pro is a compact ceramic PTC fan heater. It starts producing warm air in around 3 seconds, spreads it through a 90° grille, and runs at roughly 36–45dB. A built-in thermostat holds your chosen temperature, a tip-over switch cuts power if it is knocked over, and a timer switches it off after 1–12 hours.
It is designed to warm the room you are in — not to replace central heating for a whole house.
