Estimate only. Set "time element is on" to 100% for continuous full power.
How the maths works
Cost per hour = power in kW × price per kWh × the share of time the element is actually on. A thermostat means the element isn't on 100% of the time once the room is warm.
Ways to keep the cost down
- Heat the room you're in and turn the central heating down elsewhere
- Use the 1–12 hour timer so it never runs when you've gone
- Close the door and block draughts

Frequently asked questions
How much does a Keilini heater cost to run?
Multiply the heater's power in kW by the hours it runs and your electricity price per kWh. The calculator on this page does the maths for your own tariff.
Does the thermostat lower the running cost?
Yes. Once the room is warm the thermostat switches the element off and on, so it isn't drawing full power the whole time.
Where do I find my price per kWh?
It's on your energy bill or in your supplier's app, shown as pence per kWh for electricity.
